Install BILL OS on a Windows computer
Step-by-step installation of BILL OS from the setup program, what it installs and where, and what to do after installing.
You receive the setup program and its SHA-256 checksum when you are given software access. Check the checksum before you run it; see download integrity.
Steps
- Double-click
BILL-OS-Setup.exe. - If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, see the unknown publisher warning.
- Follow the setup: it shows each real installation stage, then “BILL OS IS READY.”
- Choose Launch BILL OS.
What the setup does
- Installs BILL OS for the signed-in Windows user, without asking for an administrator password.
- Adds one “BILL OS” shortcut to the Start menu and the desktop, and an entry in Settings → Apps with an uninstaller.
- Installs Microsoft Edge WebView2 if it is missing and the computer is online.
- Keeps the program and your business data in separate folders, so updates and reinstalls never touch your data.
After installing
BILL OS opens in its own window and starts the first-time setup.
Silent install (for IT)
BILL-OS-Setup.exe /S installs silently. Add /NODESKTOP to skip the desktop icon, or /D=<folder> (last) to choose another folder.
