Stock count sheet
A stock count sheet for shelf counts: expected and counted quantities, the difference, and a reason column for each item.
What is in it
List your items with the quantity your records expect, count the shelf, and the sheet shows the difference. Write a reason for every difference before you adjust stock.
Download stock-count-sheet.csv (CSV)
Opens in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice Calc.
Columns
- Location: Shelf, rack or room, so counters work in order
- SKU: Your item code
- Barcode: Scan it to avoid typing errors
- Item name: Including size or colour for variants

How to use it
- Pick a quiet hour and a section, not the whole store at once.
- Fill in the expected quantity from your records just before you count.
- Count the shelf and the stockroom for each item.
- Investigate every difference and write a reason before adjusting your records.
See the guide stock counts and reconciliation.
